I am Shannon Snider Walla and my background is vast and detailed in the areas of construction law and insurance defense litigation, as well as accounting and financial. I have shepherded multiple start-ups, particularly in the construction industry, navigating the daily legal, human resources, corporate, and risk management issues that inevitably and frequently arise.

By way of further background about me, I graduated Pepperdine Law School with honors in 2006, after which I secured a prestigious clerkship with the Washington State Court of Appeals. Thereafter, I went into private practice as a civil defense attorney serving the needs of businesses and their insurers. While in Washington, I also accepted an in-house position with the largest seafood company in North America, focusing on human resources and employment law. In 2011, I returned to my home of southwest Texas and continued honing my skills and knowledge base at a large national law firm, again, serving all sizes of businesses and their insurers. My pre-law school accounting and tax experience, as well as hands-on small business management, give me valuable and unique insight into what issues are critical to small and mid-sized businesses. My philosophy is to keep it lean and only fight about what really matters. Keenly understanding what issues matter to my clients is the very foundation of the value I provide, all at a lower rate than what “big law” typically charges.
